HEPATITIS B

If a child is born of a mother/ father with Hep B, give Ig plus HBV vaccine within 72h, then give normal HBV vaccine series (0, 2,6 months). obtain HBsAg serology 3 months after the last vaccine (at 9 months of age). They advise to get serology between 9-12 months. If you check it early, it can be a false positive and if you check after 12 months, it can be a false negative because titer decreases with time.
