How much exercise to do in pregnancy?

30 min of moderate-intensity exercise. Do as much so that you can have a conversation while exercising.

If a patient has already adapted to high-intensity exercise for a long time, then she can continue it during pregnancy.

The following types of activities are not recommended in pregnancy.

1. scuba diving, sky diving: due to risk of fetal decompression sickness from an air embolus formation.

2. contact sport

3. exercise with a falling risk (e.g. skiing, gymnastics, horseback riding etc).

4. exercise with marked training, resistance training, Valsalva maneuver
